Matcha Gimlet Cocktail

With the arrival of Spring and the warming temperatures, nothing says Spring time better than a fresh cocktail combining the flavors of AOI Matcha Tea with the botanical aromas of London Dry Gin. PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY!

INGREDIENTS:
-1 Tablespoon AOI MATCHA POWDER
-2 1/2 Oz London Dry Gin (Bombay Sapphire, Tanqueray, or Brokers work well)
-3 oz water
-1 oz of lime juice (preferably hand juiced)
-1/2 oz simple syrup (TO MAKE YOUR OWN FRESH SIMPLE SYRUP, BOIL EQUAL PARTS WATER AND SUGAR, STIR, AND DISSOLVE SUGAR COMPLETELY, THEN COOL AND BOTTLE.)
-Ice

DIRECTIONS:
-In a separate glass or traditional Matcha Ceremonial Bowl, mix the AOI MATCHA POWDER and the water together. Make sure the AOI MATCHA POWDER is completely dissolved into the water. Best achieved using a bamboo whisk.
-Add lime juice into the green tea mixture.
-Add 1/2 oz of the simple syrup into the green tea mixture.
-Place ice into a cocktail shaker.
-Combine the gin and green tea mixture into the cocktail shaker.
-IMPORTANT!! DO NOT SHAKE THE COCKTAIL SHAKER FOR THE FLAVORS OF GIN CAN BE ALTERED WHEN SHAKEN! Instead, stir or swirl the shaker until the outside becomes icy and cold.
-Strain the drink into a chilled Martini glass.
-Enjoy responsibly!
